Run with Neice

Got together at Seattle’s Greenlake park to run 5k with my brother and niece. This was her longest ever run as she builds up to her marathon distance. This was my longest run in a while and I think our pace was a personal best. I ran the first 6 mins solid before having to slow for a walk break. Coach Brad tried to film some of our run, but his batteries were low. The nieceand I talked about push-ups, trolls and fairies, school and other random 8 year old topics. Later we all went out for dinner with Grandpa too. The weather was incredible, 60’s and so sunny. I had way too many layers on. It was a great family day.

edit: so I went and did a littke g-ped map and got a total of 4.0479 for actually walking and running combined milage. Coach Brad is right that the inside track at Greenlake is only 2.8  not 3.2 as I had thought. so the other milage of 1.2 was walking around while shopping and to get back and forth to my car.
